Meditation is moving into silence; into
stillness. Without
the constant stream of thoughts and mental noise, you get to
experience yourself on a very deep and joyful level. You
get to move into the source of who you are. This is a very
powerful place. It is from here that you can find balance,
joy, inspiration, peace and connection to all of creation.
Meditation takes a little
time, and commitment. It
is most effective to choose a certain time, the same time everyday
for meditation such as in the morning when you wake up or at
night before retiring.
The mind almost instinctively,
resists being quiet. It is also an interesting exercise
to just watch the mind. Look at the thoughts that come. What
are they? We so often have the same set of thoughts repeating
themselves over and over again. With meditation you gain
the tools to find your center, choose your thoughts, and thereby
affect your entire reality.
Everyone will have their
own experience and their own journey with meditation. What
I want to provide is the inspiration and guidelines for a fulfilling
meditation practice.
Meditation is an ancient
practice that has been in every culture in some form. In our fast pace world with
huge cities, media, deadlines and so on, it is so easy to lose
ourselves. Meditation brings you back to your joy, your
innocence, your creativity, your peace and your wholeness.
It brings you back to your Self.
