Mooladhara Chakra by SandiaSoyCandles.comMooladhara Chakra

Mooladhara Chakra is the seat of Kundalini Shakti, our divine potential which lies dormant within the pelvic floor. Within this region is located the basis of who we are. This Chakra is our foundation. Its shape is that of a square and it is connected to the earth.

Meditation on Mooladhara Chakra strengthens the body, increases the flow of vital energy, and gives one an incredibly grounded presence. It releases one from all fears associated with death and dying.

Mooladhara Chakra Meditation

Recommended candles:  Ancient Ones, Ganesha

  • Sit in a quiet comfortable spot and light your candle.

  • Close your eyes and relax.

  • Bring your attention into the pelvis.  Feel as if you are moving into the earth, down into a deep cave.

  • When your eyes become heavy and tired, close them and again journey deep into your underground cave.   Take with you the negative image of the candle’s flame and place it inside.  This is Mooladhara, the energy of the earth.

  • Breathe deeply of Mother Earth.

  • Feel her strength and presence becoming yours.  Feel safe in her womb.  Accept her as your mother and provider.  Let all fears and insecurities soak into her soil. Give to her all your worries.

  • Relax in this state and let the Mother Earth support and embrace you.

  • When you are ready to end your meditation, thank the energy of Mooladhara Shakti for her grace and protection.

Swadistana Chakra by SandiaSoyCandles.comSwadistana Chakra

Swadistana Chakra is our sexual center.  It is the seat of our emotional longings.  Psychological trauma and emotional pain are stored here.  Binding emotions such as envy, jealousy, and hatred are formed here.  By going into Swadistana, you begin to heal old wounds and thereby create the possibility of opening up to your own joy.  Swadistana is located a few inches below the navel.  Its color is light blue and it is ruled by water, which is in turn ruled by the moon.  Because the earth and our bodies are both predominantly water, this chakra is of prime importance.  It dominates our personality.

Meditation on Swadistana Chakra heals old wounds and opens one to creativity and joy.

  • Imagine a body of water in this area.  Take your time.

  • When you feel ready, dive into the water, journey in, swim and enjoy.  You might find yourself with a water companion: a mermaid, a dolphin, an ancient sea turtle, a water dragon.  Whatever it is, allow it to guide you as a friend.  Whatever comes up, allow it and accept it.  You can communicate to any elements of your meditation.  Its like being in a lucid dream, you can be involved in it and infuse into it your awareness and light.

  • Let the water caress you and wash away any negative feelings.

  • When you are ready to come out, open your eyes and look at the candle flame.

  • Let the light of the flame soak into your abdomen like moonlight.

  • Feel it healing your emotional body.

  • Feel it strengthening your auric field.

  • Feel yourself alive and energized with creative energy.

Vishudha Chakra by SandiaSoyCandles.comVishudha Chakra

Vishudha Chakra is located at the lower part of the throat.  This chakra opens one to the very subtle spheres of light and sound.  Here you find the Akashic plane where soul information is stored in subtle vibrations.  Practices of deep silence, speaking the truth, speaking words that are positive and uplifting to others, automatically helps to purify Vishudha Chakra.  At this level, sound, vibration and words have actual form and frequency.  When Vishudha is pure and strong, anything said becomes manifested.  At this level there is no difference between the sound form and the material form.

Meditation on Vishudha brings understanding of yourself and your patterns.  It purifies traces of lower emotions such as lust, anger, greed, hatred and jealousy by revealing the truth of their origins.  It also opens the doorway to your own existence on other planes.
