A Little About Myself. . .

I was born in Guyana which is a tiny
county at the edge of the Amazon jungle and the coast of the Caribbean
Sea . My ancestry, like many Guyanese, comes from India . When
I was 6, my family became part of the Sivananda Yoga family.
Being part of the Sivananda Yoga Ashrams and living a communal
life based on spiritual practice was an absolute experience of joy.
The days were focused on yoga, meditation, chanting, eating together,
and lots of fun. At one point I was the assistant temple pujari and
the highlight of my day was collecting flowers for Krishna .
Swami Vishnudevananda, my parents
(Leela Mata
and Yogi Hari) and us kids.

Ashram living was for me any amazing
experience of how people can live together, without competition
and division, and together create a dynamic environment for creative
expression, healthy living, and spiritual unfolding. There was
always an intense spiritual charge with Swami Vishnudevananda’s
presence along with all the other great spiritual teachers that
would visit.
This was the most peaceful and blissful time of my life and
it is a place in my heart from where I continue to draw strength
from.
In 1989 I met my spiritual teacher in
India . It was for me a period of intense mystical experiences
and spiritual acceleration. My psychic abilities became very strong
during this time. It was at times very disorienting for me, as
I was not fully present in the material world. I would see energies
and beings in the form of piercingly bright lights. My soul’s memories of past lives
and other dimensions started flooding through. It was
here that my psychic journey became a focused path of study.
